Jade Sciberras

Committee for Administration, Internship and Professional Development

Jade Sciberras is a NAATI certified translator with a passion for breaking language barriers between Indonesian and Australian businesses by delivering professional and quality translations of various documents. She is also a Secretariat Officer with the Australian Consortium for In-Country Indonesian Studies (ACICIS) which runs study programs and internships in Indonesia.

Currently, Jade is undertaking her Master’s degree in Translation Studies specialising in Indonesian business and financial documentation. She will be completing a semester abroad at Universitas Gadjah Mada this year to brush up on her Bahasa Indonesia (and introduce her young children to Indonesian culture) so you may not see her face at ICCWA events for a while!

Jade’s primary role in ICCWA is to provide administration support where required and to assist with ICCWA’s internship program by offering professional advice and guidance to young professional and student members. Her portfolio is the Director of Professional Learning and Internships

Jade also lends her expertise with in-house translations of promotional materials, social media content and overall proofing and editing of documents such as the ICCWA Constitution. Through her involvement at ICCWA, Jade is committed to supporting members in any way she can and is always interested to learn from other members too.

A dedicated mother of two young children, Jade enjoys tending to her plants and exploring the bush with her family and kelpie.
